Day 10: White Pocket

After a short night in the car, we got up early and walked about an hour to the White Pocket. We heared howling coyotes directly in front of us -- pretty scary, but never never saw one (only footprints). We arrived quite early and waited for the sun to rise. Then, we realized what an incredible location that was. Note the contrast of the simple and pure cross-bedding with the lonely tree -- and the wild red stuff that looks as if someone splattered the entrails of several huge dinosaurs!

Dino tracks? This is funny: When we returned from our trip we heard (in the Austrian News!) that thousands of dinosaur-footprints were discoverd just some kilometeres away from this very place. Now, if I look at this photo, I am pretty sure that it shows dino-tracks as well! See how they alternate left-right and continue way to the back?
