Around the Island... We cruised around the island and went for a quick swim at the Sciara del Fuoco. We made a stop at Ginostra and found a house with the roof smashed by a volcanic bomb from Stromboli (next image). |

Stromboli real close We spent the evening on the "Pizzo" on Stromboli, where we were quite close (150m) to the action: Lava fountains as high as 200m! I could have spent all night up there, but we had to leave after an hour or so. Who would have thought then that the next day would have something even better in store for us? |
